The glasswinged butterfly is a butterfly whose wings are almost not colored. They are translucent and remind of glass, as the name itself suggests. This is a very special kind of camouflage, because the “glass” butterfly can passed unnoticed by its enemies thanks to the glass-like wings. The birds, that are the most frequent predators and feed on these beauties, cannot spot the prey so easily. Take a look, it really looks glassy.
