Wait for the right moment man
As we have mentioned before, holding hands is not reserved just for showing love. It can also be used in other situations. These two raccoons are obviously getting ready to do something mischievous, probably to steal some food from a cat or a dog. Holding hands here signals to the other raccoon to be patient and not to be afraid.
