Their special bond has lasted since Alia was only two months old and they have been inseparable ever since.

For Alia, Daisy the sloth is like a living interactive teddy bear, as they spend time playing, cuddling and napping together. When they are together, they are always next to each other, sniffing around and cuddling. Alia and her parents are from Virginia, her mother Julia and father Jason, brought Alia home from the hospital on the same day when they adopted Daisy the sloth who was only 4 months old then.

Julia works as a writer and illustrator of children's books, in which, through interesting stories, she tries to teach children about the importance of caring for the environment. Julia and Jason teach all over Panama and Peru, spreading love towards the nature and animals with as many people as they can.
