One More Gorgeous Subspecies That We’ve All but Eradicated – 12 Pics
These big white cats, whose color depends on defective, recessive gene that's passed to them from their parents, are (or I should say were) found mostly in India. They are also known as White Bengal Tiger. Sadly, last recorded sighting of them in the wilds was about 50 years ago and the last place that you can actually see one of these elusive and gorgeous animals is in some better standing zoo. They once roamed the wilds and were common sight for explorers, but due to the unsanctioned trophy hunt and capturing (to be some rich guy's expensive exotic pet) they're almost extinct. Take a moment to browse through this photo gallery and see what beauty we've deprived our nature of.
