As long some people love animals and take care of them, this world will be a wonderful place. Pam Ahern is a woman with big heart and a lot of courage. This time we should thank her for saving a little kitten stuck in the chimney. If she weren't there on time, this sweet creature wouldn’t be beautiful and healthy cat today.

How Everything Started

They say that big stories start with simple words. This is how the story about kitten began, with only one phone call. Or, was it only one? Many phone calls were made before the right one reached Pam. And all of them were made for goodness.

Sweet and Adorable

If you look this cute animal now, can you tell us will you help her get out of the chimney? Somehow she was a kind of prisoner of a big and dirty chimney, until the moment when Jessica heard her. Jessica was working in a bakery where nobody was willing to listen the sad crying of this helpless animal. She made big efforts to reach at least someone ready to help in this situation.

Pam Ahern Was a Hero

Nobody wanted to help. Neither police nor local vets were keen to do something. The bakery owner was not interested, while wildlife rescue groups also did nothing. But Ahern from Edgar’s Mission came to the bakery as the last hope. Although it was very hard to release this small animal, Ahern did it. She was black from the dust and grime, but she didn’t give up. This is why we all should send her our love.

Fast Reaction Was Necessary

A small kitten was scared and hungry. This is why Ahern has fed her fast and helped her get back into the life. Although the animal was vulnerable in these moments, she accepted her new friend quickly, and everybody was happy.

Lazy Sunday Brought Happiness

It was Sunday when all happens in this bakery. Ahern had clear instructions not to damage anything in the building. But, once she saved and fed the animal, nobody was able to give her instructions how to act further. She could play with this kitten as much as she wanted.

New Home

The name of a woman who called Edgar’s Mission Center was Jessica. This is why Ahern decided the cat will have the same name. That was the least she could do to show her gratefulness. The new home was like a heaven for this kitten, and she was confused at the first time.

New Friends

Although she was very friendly upon her arrival, Jessica kitten felt safe and secure while spending time with E.T. dog. This was Ahern’s dog, and he devoted his time to Jessica until the moment he passed away.

Stay Strong and Keep Going

We can just imagine how the kitten felt at the moment she lost her best friend. But, now she was not only a scared and helpless animal stuck in the chimney. She was much stronger and ready to continue the life she was given as a present.  This is why she started to hang around with other animals.

Toy From the Beginning

Do you remember this lion in the picture? A long time ago it was almost bigger than the kitten. Now Jessica is a grown and happy cat. Is there anybody happy about this? We bet you are.

Friendly Kissing

People from Edgar’s Mission say that she enjoys kissing. She also likes to touch people with her soft paws, but also adores sharing tenderness with other animals. All around her enjoy while she is tenderly purring, as this is her way to show how happy she is.

What about Other Cats?

It is not easy to live in animal’s world. You always have to fight if you want to stay on the top. Edgar’s members say Jessica is always on the top. She doesn’t want to let other cats jeopardize her sovereignty. She plays around with them, but she always makes them being aware who the boss is.

Look Below the Eyebrows

Maybe cats do not have eyebrows, but Jessica sometimes seems like she has a pair. Her defiant look tells us that she sometimes pretends to be angry, especially when there is someone in her bed. However, this is just the wrong impression. Her favorite activity is scratching on the window to make someone open the door when she wants to go in or out.

Love Is the Most Beautiful Feeling

All animals on this farm like Jessica. And she loves all of them too. Maybe these orphaned animals have stronger feelings as they were alone at least in some moment of their lives. Now they respect what they have and know how to appreciate even some little attention.
