On the Japanese island of Tashirojima number of cats is far superior to mere 100 humans inhabiting the island. There are no dogs on that island and it's practically forbidden to bring any. It's sunny and with a lot of fish to go around (considering fishing is the main occupation for people on the island) so I don't think there is anything else that a cat could want.
