13 Portraits of Disappearing World

It's not uncommon to find animal close-ups all over the internet. Usually, those images will depict some predator during the hunt or some exotic cat just laying around in its natural habitat. On the other hand, photographer Wolf Ademeit focused on animals in zoos. He chose to bring us closer to the lives of animals held in captivity. One of the main techniques on his portraits is darkening out the unimportant parts of the photography and thus highlighting what matters. His pictures aren't meant to go into documentaries, they are shot for the sole purpose of showing the tragic disappearance of animal world behind bars.
