Fish in the Sleeping Bag

Fish in the Sleeping Bag

Parrot-fish, a native of tropical and subtropical seas, sleeps in the sleeping bag every night. In fact, it sleeps in a kind of a mucus bag. Some fish sleep turned on the side, leaning on the rocks, sometimes they look for a temporary shelter – shoved into a stone crevice or a rally in the …

Spider Invasion in Pakistan

Spider Invasion in Pakistan

After an unprecedented flooding in Pakistan in 2010 endangered lives of many, millions of spiders climbed into trees to escape the rising floodwaters. The water took so long to recede, the trees became covered in a cocoon of spiderwebs. The result is an odd, alien-like panorama, with any vegetation covered in a thick mass of webbing. The amazing pet working like a dog!

The amazing pet working like a dog!

Hands can do more than paws? Think again! This beautiful Jack Russell Terrier named Jesse can perform more chores than majority of the human kind. He helps around the house as much as he can and he seems to love it, with treats as rewards of course. He can clean things up, take off shoes and clothes, put it all in the washing machine and then follow up with a massage. A dog from your dreams eh?

A panda cub, can you believe it?

A panda cub, can you believe it?

These heart-warming pictures show a giant panda nurturing her newborn cub at a reserve in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The eight-year-old panda tenderly licks the cub clean and carries it to safety in her mouth. Pandas rarely give birth to twins and mothers often only take the first cub as their own. The other one was sent to a panda nursery.

Love is in the Air

Love is in the Air

As you all know humans are not alone on this planet with a capability to love someone and be loved by someone else. Animals have similar feelings and more than sure to say, even deeper than humans in some cases. Their love sometimes overcomes the huge difference of being totally unrelated species in between them and there are a lot of examples to show that.

Happy Cats’ Endings

Happy Cats’ Endings

This is a collection of cats found on the streets, in kennels, vivarums or shelters where they were left alone, at the worst case for euthanization. It is amazing how a bit of love and patience can make incredible miracles, turning sad, street cats into beautiful, happy and true companions.

Riddle of the day

Riddle of the day

Here’s another for you, this one is very tough though! There’s a cat hidden somewhere in this picture and it is hidden pretty well. There probably aren’t many people that could spot it but a few with a good eye and some patience can probably do it. Well have fun finding it, or atleast trying to. Looking back at the first image after finding out where it is makes it look a whole lot easier.

An 800 pound pet grizzly bear!

An 800 pound pet grizzly bear!

Most animal lovers would be happy to have a dog or a cat as their lovely companion, but someone has taken a step further and adopted a bear. Anderson first befriended the bear in 2002 when young Brutus’ wildlife park became overpopulated. Before the cub had to face a lose-lose fate of captivity or death, Anderson adopted him and opened a sanctuary so Brutus could “act like a real bear.”

Of course, “real bears” don’t usually eat at kitchen tables and swim in lap pools. But according to Anderson, they do experience human-level emotions, sometimes even shedding tears. Anderson’s relationship with his furry surrogate son spawned his mission to dispel false “man eater” stereotypes about Grizzlies…

Bird Olympics in China

You can see all these incredibly trained birds in China, on their miniature “Olympic” games, more of a circus though. All these parrots are very unusual. They participated in the Bird Sports Meeting showing their personal best in weightlifting, skating, rolling, acrobatics and other sports. The crowd surely looks excited and there’s no reason for them not to be, these birds rock!
